Self-hosted Neptune#
Neptune is joining OpenAI
Neptune has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by OpenAI, subject to closing conditions.
We will wind down the hosted (SaaS) service after a 3‑month transition period ending on March 4th, 2026. Self-hosted customers have been contacted by their account manager to work on a smooth transition path.
For information and instructions, visit the Transition Hub on the main documentation site.
On March 8, 2026, we will permanently delete our Helm repository and container image repository. Please make sure to download all Neptune service images before this date.
After March 8, 2026, Neptune service images will no longer be available for download.
Neptune can be self-hosted. This means deploying your own instance of the Neptune web application, instead of using the SaaS offering at https://app.neptune.ai.
You can deploy Neptune on your own infrastructure (on-premises) or in a private cloud, either in a Kubernetes cluster or in a virtual machine that runs a Kubernetes cluster underneath the hood.
